About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils’ problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills, preparing them for examinations and further education.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)

• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

• Supporting pupils in developing confidence and mastery in mathematical concepts

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through regular testing and feedback

• Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations

• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

• Supporting intervention and enrichment activities, such as maths clubs or competitions

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Be confident teaching across multiple key stages

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be able to inspire pupils and foster a love of mathematics

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative department

• Be committed to continuous professional development
