The Opportunity
Are you a versatile professional looking to make a tangible impact on the Sheffield education landscape? We are seeking an experienced School Business Manager to take the operational reins of a vibrant local primary school.
This is a "hub of the community" role. If you enjoy the variety of managing a budget in the morning and overseeing a facilities project in the afternoon—all while being part of a supportive, child-centered environment—this is the perfect fit.
The Role at a Glance
As the lead for all non-teaching functions, your remit will be broad and rewarding:
Strategic Finance: Leading on budget setting, monitoring, and ensuring every penny benefits the pupils.
Operational Excellence: Managing the school site, health and safety, and external contractors.
HR & Admin: Overseeing the "front of house" team and ensuring HR compliance and payroll accuracy.
Leadership: Sitting as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to help shape the school's future.
What You Bring to the Table
Financial Fluency: You don’t just "do" numbers; you understand how to use them to drive school improvement.
The "Sheffield Spirit": A down-to-earth, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
Resilience: The ability to handle the fast-paced, often unpredictable nature of a primary school office.

Competitive Sheffield Salary: A solid £35k–£38k bracket with LGPS pension benefits.
Community Impact: Play a pivotal role in a school that is the heartbeat of its local area.
Autonomy: Manage your own workload and lead your departments with professional trust.
