Our client is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a prestigious independent school in Reading. Music plays an important role within the school’s curriculum and wider co-curricular life, with strong participation in ensembles, performances, and events throughout the year.
The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in performance, composition, and music theory
Supporting and developing pupils’ musical skills and confidence
Contributing to choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions
Encouraging pupil participation in co-curricular music activities
Working collaboratively within a well-established Music department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or a related discipline
Experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical aspects of Music
The ability to inspire and motivate pupils of varying abilities
A professional, organised, and collaborative approach
Willingness to contribute to the wider musical life of the school
