About the Role
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students’ technical and creative abilities while encouraging self-expression and critical thinking.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Art across Key Stages 3–5, including GCSE and A-Level
Planning and delivering engaging, structured, and differentiated lessons
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting curriculum development and resource creation within the Art department
Promoting practical skills, experimentation, and artistic exploration
Encouraging participation in extra-curricular activities, exhibitions, and competitions
Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold a degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related subject
Possess QTS or PGCE
Have experience teaching Art in a secondary school, ideally including GCSE and A-Level
Demonstrate strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills
Be passionate about inspiring creativity and supporting student progress
