About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inspiring English lessons that foster strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and a love of literature.
Key responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS3–KS5.
Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations.
Assess, track, and support student progress.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment activities such as reading clubs, theatre trips, or writing competitions.
Encourage creativity, discussion, and independent learning in all lessons.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Degree in English, Literature, or a related discipline.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Experience teaching across KS3–KS5 is preferred.
