About the Role

The DT Technician will provide technical and practical support to ensure safe, engaging, and well-resourced Design & Technology lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to maintain workshops and specialist equipment to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials, tools, and resources for lessons
• Maintaining machinery and workshop equipment
• Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
• Ensuring full health and safety compliance in workshops
• Managing stock control and ordering supplies
• Assisting with project setups and coursework preparation

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a DT Technician or similar practical role
• Knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and materials
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience within a school or academy setting is desirable but not essential.
