A leading Independent 11–18 secondary school in Devon is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher (ECT) to join their Humanities Department.

The Role

As a History ECT, you will:
• Teach high-quality, well-planned History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Explore diverse periods, interpretations and historical enquiry with students.
• Contribute to a collaborative Humanities team and share best practice.
• Support enrichment through trips, historical projects and academic clubs.
• Receive strong mentoring and structured ECT induction.

Requirements

• Completing a PGCE or equivalent and holding QTS.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for History.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and challenge pupils of varying abilities.
• Reflective, resilient and committed to improvement.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
