The Role
The Site Assistant will support the day-to-day operational management of the academy site, ensuring that buildings and grounds are safe, secure and maintained to a high standard.
Working closely with the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Opening and closing the premises in line with academy procedures
• Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
• Supporting health and safety checks and compliance tasks
• Preparing rooms for lessons, examinations and academy events
• Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
• Supervising contractors where required
The role requires flexibility, practical ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or maintenance (desirable)
• Basic DIY and repair skills
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual and well-organised
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and site security
