PA to the Headteacher – Independent Preparatory School – Oxfordshire
A highly regarded independent preparatory school in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced and discreet Personal Assistant to support the Headteacher and senior leadership team. The school educates pupils aged 4–13 and is known for its academic standards, nurturing pastoral care and strong relationships with families.
The Headteacher’s office plays a pivotal role in the smooth strategic and operational running of the school. This position requires a highly organised professional who can manage competing priorities while maintaining absolute confidentiality and composure.
The Role
Working directly with the Headteacher, you will provide comprehensive executive and administrative support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the Headteacher’s diary, appointments and correspondence
• Preparing agendas, reports and briefing papers for meetings
• Taking accurate and confidential minutes at leadership and governor meetings
• Coordinating school events, parent communications and formal functions
• Acting as a key liaison between senior leadership, governors and external stakeholders
• Ensuring documentation and policies are maintained in line with compliance requirements
The role requires strong organisational discipline and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

Experience within an independent school setting would be advantageous.
