An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a thriving 11–18 academy in Canterbury ASAP. This is a full-time, permanent position within a busy and well-organised Estates team, responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and efficient school environment.

The Role
The appointed Site Manager will oversee the daily operations of the school site, ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will lead a small team of site staff and coordinate maintenance, health & safety, security and event support across the academy.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing opening and closing of the school site, including security checks
• Supervising site staff and coordinating maintenance schedules
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
• Supporting school events and extracurricular activities
• Reporting and coordinating repairs with contractors and suppliers
This role is pivotal in creating a safe, welcoming and functional learning environment for students and staff.

• Experience in site management, caretaking, or facilities supervision
• Practical skills in general maintenance, health & safety and security
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively
