Art Technician – Wimbledon
A creative and well-resourced secondary school in Wimbledon is seeking a skilled and organised Art Technician to support its thriving Art & Design Department. This is a full-time, permanent support staff position, ideal for someone with practical art skills and a passion for supporting creative education.

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Prepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for Art lessons.
Maintain and organise art studios, storage areas, and specialist equipment.
Support teachers during practical lessons where required.
Order, monitor, and manage stock of materials and supplies.
Maintain tools and equipment safely, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Assist with mounting, displaying, and presenting student work for exhibitions and displays.
Provide technical support for GCSE and A-Level coursework where applicable.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working in an art-related environment (school experience desirable).
Practical knowledge of a range of art materials and techniques.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Awareness of health and safety practices within an art or workshop setting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
