The Role

• Teaching Engineering across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available depending on experience

• Delivering engaging lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application

• Teaching core areas such as mechanical principles, materials technology, systems, and design processes

• Supporting pupils with coursework, project-based learning, and examination preparation

• Maintaining high standards of workshop safety and compliance

• Contributing to curriculum development within the Engineering and wider DT faculty

• Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and employer engagement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline

• Experience teaching Engineering or a closely related subject at KS3 and KS4

• Strong practical knowledge and workshop confidence

• Clear understanding of health & safety within a technical environment

• High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and achievement

• A collaborative and proactive approach to departmental development
