An excellent and forward-thinking secondary school in Bristol is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Teacher to join its thriving Design & Technology faculty from April. The Role
Teaching Engineering across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available depending on experience
Delivering engaging lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application
Teaching core areas such as mechanical principles, materials technology, systems, and design processes
Supporting pupils with coursework, project-based learning, and examination preparation
Maintaining high standards of workshop safety and compliance
Contributing to curriculum development within the Engineering and wider DT faculty
Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and employer engagement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline
Experience teaching Engineering or a closely related subject at KS3 and KS4
Strong practical knowledge and workshop confidence
Clear understanding of health & safety within a technical environment
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and achievement
A collaborative and proactive approach to departmental development
