The Role

• Teaching Product Design across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available depending on experience

• Planning and delivering engaging, technically rigorous lessons combining theory and practical application

• Supporting pupils with design projects, coursework, and portfolio development

• Encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and independent thinking

• Ensuring high standards of workshop safety and compliance

• Contributing to curriculum development within the Design & Technology department

• Supporting extracurricular design clubs, competitions, or STEM-related initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Product Design, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline

• Experience teaching Product Design or resistant materials at KS3 and KS4

• Strong practical workshop knowledge and CAD/CAM experience

• Clear understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment

• High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and achievement

• A creative, organised, and forward-thinking teaching approach
