The Snapshot

  • Location: Ipswich (Convenient for A12 and A14 commuters)

  • Salary: £23,500 – £26,500 (Suffolk County Council Grade)

  • Contract: Permanent, Full-time

  • Requirement: A valid driving license is preferred for moving equipment between local sites if necessary.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Asset Maintenance: Maintaining the school's tools and machinery, ensuring they are serviced and used safely in accordance with COSHH.

  • Site Inspections: Walking the site daily to identify potential hazards or maintenance requirements, reporting major issues to the Site Manager.

  • Event Setup: Preparing the main hall and classrooms for exams, parents' evenings, and school productions, including moving heavy seating and staging.

  • Winter Readiness: Taking responsibility for salting and gritting paths during freezing weather to ensure the school remains open and safe.
