Role Information
The school is seeking a confident, analytical, and highly organised Data Officer to manage and maintain the school’s data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and updating the school’s MIS (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom)
Producing data reports for SLT, governors, and middle leaders
Analysing student progress, behaviour, attendance, and attainment trends
Supporting assessment cycles, data drops, and target-setting
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student data across all systems
Supporting exams administration with candidate data, entries, and timetables
Training staff to use MIS and data tools effectively
Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining confidential records
Supporting census returns and local authority data submissions
Working closely with pastoral, curriculum, and admin teams to maintain data accuracy
This role is ideal for someone who is analytically minded, comfortable with data systems, and highly reliable.
Requirements
Previous experience in data management, MIS administration, or similar role
Strong IT and data-handling skills
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability
Confident with Excel and data reporting tools
Ability to handle confidential student records responsibly
Understanding of assessment processes and school data cycles (desirable)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
