The Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art lessons, foster creativity, and encourage students to develop their technical and conceptual skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and where applicable, Key Stage 5.

• Supporting students in practical projects, promoting experimentation, problem-solving, and individual expression.

• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.

• Contributing to curriculum development, lesson planning, and resource management.

• Encouraging students to participate in exhibitions, competitions, and enrichment activities.

• Maintaining a safe and inspiring studio environment in line with health and safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art.

• Practical experience with a wide range of artistic media and techniques.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

• Commitment to health and safety in practical lessons.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
