Detailed Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels of chemicals and consumables, placing orders with suppliers, and managing the department's budget efficiently.

  • Risk Assessment: Assisting the Head of Science in reviewing risk assessments for all practical activities to ensure student and staff safety.

  • Specialist Support: Providing technical expertise for A-Level Physics and Chemistry experiments, including titration and circuit building.

  • Cleanliness: Ensuring that prep rooms and laboratories are kept tidy and that all glassware is cleaned and sterilized after use.
