We are searching for a commercially-minded School Bursar for a vibrant secondary school in Solihull. The successful candidate will bring a high level of professional integrity and the ability to streamline administrative processes to support the school’s academic mission.

The Snapshot

  • Location: Solihull (Central location with excellent transport links)

  • Salary: £45,000 – £52,000 (Based on experience)

  • Contract: Permanent, Full-time

  • Requirement: Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) is highly desirable.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Audit & Transparency: Coordinating the annual external audit and ensuring all financial transactions are transparent and documented.

  • Contract Negotiation: Reviewing and renewing service level agreements (SLAs) for cleaning, catering, and security.

  • Grant Management: Identifying opportunities for external funding and managing the application process for government and private grants.

  • IT Strategy: Working with the IT Manager to ensure the school’s technology infrastructure is robust and cost-effective.
