Operations Manager – Secondary School in Liverpool - ASAP Start!
A large and well-regarded secondary school in Liverpool is seeking a highly organised and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the school’s operational functions and ensure efficient day-to-day running of non-teaching services.
This is a senior operational leadership role requiring oversight of administration, facilities coordination, compliance processes, and support staff management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure operational excellence across the school.
The Role
Leading and managing the school’s administrative and operational teams
Overseeing site, facilities, and compliance coordination
Ensuring statutory requirements and policies are implemented and monitored
Supporting financial monitoring alongside the Business Manager
Coordinating operational planning for events, exams, and school functions
Reviewing and improving operational systems and processes
Line managing support staff and overseeing performance management
Contributing to strategic planning and whole-school improvement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Proven experience in school operations or senior administration
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Excellent understanding of compliance and operational processes
Experience managing teams and complex workloads
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders
