A creative and forward-thinking secondary school in Brighton is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Art Technician to support its thriving Art & Design department as soon as possible. Art is a popular and well-supported subject within the school, with strong GCSE and A Level outcomes and regular exhibitions celebrating pupil work.

The department delivers a broad curriculum across fine art, mixed media, ceramics, textiles, and digital art. The technician will play a key role in maintaining studio spaces and supporting practical delivery.

The Role

• Preparing materials and specialist resources for lessons across KS3–KS5

• Maintaining art studios, kilns, printing presses, and specialist equipment

• Supporting GCSE and A Level coursework and portfolio preparation

• Assisting with exhibitions, displays, and showcase events

• Managing stock of specialist materials and ordering supplies

• Ensuring safe storage of materials and compliance with health & safety regulations

• Supporting practical lessons across a wide range of media

• Assisting with mounting, framing, and presentation of pupil work

• Contributing to the overall organisation and efficiency of the department
