Role Information
The school is looking to appoint an experienced and personable Admissions Officer to join the admissions and marketing team. You will be the first point of contact for prospective families and will act as an ambassador for the school, delivering a professional, welcoming, and efficient admissions experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all stages of the admissions journey from initial enquiry to enrolment
Handling phone, email, and in-person enquiries promptly and professionally
Maintaining accurate admissions data and records using the school’s management information system
Liaising with parents, students, academic staff, and senior leadership
Arranging tours, open days, assessments, interviews, and follow-up communication
Preparing admissions documentation, offers, waiting lists, and confirmation letters
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and school policies
Supporting marketing events, school fairs, and promotional activities
Contributing to admissions strategy, analytics, and forecasting
The role requires diplomacy, empathy, exceptional communication, and the ability to manage multiple detailed processes simultaneously. You will play a central part in shaping the school’s first impression to future families.
Requirements
Strong admissions, customer service, or administrative experience (school experience desirable)
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Warm, professional, articulate presentation and ability to build rapport with families
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Ability to manage a busy workload during peak admissions periods
Comfort with data systems, spreadsheets, and digital communication
Ability to represent the school positively and uphold its values
Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and confidentiality
