A creative and inclusive secondary school in Stroud is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Music Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts department from April 2026. The Music department delivers a broad curriculum across KS3 and KS4, incorporating composition, performance, and listening analysis. There is strong participation in ensembles, concerts, and collaborative arts projects.
The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
Delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with coursework, controlled assessments, and exam preparation
Leading ensembles, clubs, and rehearsal sessions
Contributing to school productions and performance events
Monitoring progress and implementing strategies to secure strong outcomes
Supporting curriculum development and departmental initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or related discipline
Experience teaching Music at secondary level
Strong practical musicianship and classroom management skills
A commitment to creative excellence and pupil engagement
A collaborative and forward-thinking approach
