Due to strategic strengthening of attendance systems, the school is seeking an experienced and proactive Attendance Officer.
Role Overview
The Attendance Officer will monitor and improve whole-school attendance.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring daily attendance
Contacting parents regarding absences
Identifying persistent absence patterns
Producing attendance reports for SLT
Coordinating attendance panels
Liaising with external agencies
Supporting reintegration strategies
Maintaining accurate MIS records
Ensuring compliance with DfE guidance
Supporting safeguarding interventions
The role requires strong communication skills and resilience.
Attendance & Pastoral Team
The Attendance Officer works closely with Heads of Year and the safeguarding team within a structured pastoral framework.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in attendance or school administration
Strong data and IT skills
Excellent communication ability
Organised and detail-focused approach
Ability to manage sensitive conversations
Commitment to safeguarding
