The Role
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with coursework, NEA, and exam preparation
Promoting high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation in practical lessons
Encouraging creativity, confidence, and independence in the kitchen
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced DT department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related subject
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
