Humanities Teacher | Havering Independent Secondary (March)
We are working with a prestigious independent school in Havering to appoint a scholarly Humanities Teacher for a permanent, full-time position. Starting this March, the school is looking for a specialist who can deliver high-quality History or Geography lessons to an ambitious student body.

The Humanities department is a collaborative space where cross-curricular projects are encouraged. ECTs at this school benefit from a "buddy" system and a structured induction path that provides all the tools necessary for a successful first year in teaching.
The Role The successful candidate will teach either History or Geography (or a combination) across KS3 and KS4. The curriculum is designed to challenge students' perspectives and develop their analytical skills. The school is looking for an ECT who can lead inquiry-based lessons and foster a love for the humanities through debating and field trips.
Requirements
QTS and a strong degree in History, Geography, or a related Humanities subject.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary & Benefits The school pays according to its own independent payscale. Salary will be determined based on experience but, if successful, can be negotiated. Benefits include a generous pension scheme and lunch provided on-site.
