Teacher of Computer Science | Islington Independent School

We are working with a leading independent school in Islington to recruit a logical and innovative Teacher of Computer Science for a permanent, full-time position. Starting ASAP, the school is looking for a specialist who can deliver high-quality Computer Science and Coding lessons. This "Outstanding" rated academy provides a scholarly environment where STEM subjects are a core pillar of the curriculum, supported by the latest cybersecurity and robotics labs.

The Role

  • Teach Computer Science from Year 7 through to Year 13 (OCR specification).

  • Develop schemes of work focusing on Python, algorithms, and data representation.

  • Foster a love for problem-solving through extra-curricular coding and AI clubs.

  • Prepare students for high-stakes examinations at GCSE and A-Level.

The Person

  • QTS and a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.

  • The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

  • Excellent technical proficiency and a proactive attitude towards digital innovation.

Salary & Benefits The school pays according to its own independent payscale. Salary will be determined based on experience but, if successful, can be negotiated. Includes access to a private gym and cycle-to-work schemes.
