Year 1 Teacher – Greenford
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenford, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and supporting children as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning.

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, ensuring pupils develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development. You will also play a key role in supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence during this important stage of their education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum
Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to KS1
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
Create a nurturing, structured, and stimulating classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to planning meetings, staff meetings, and school initiatives
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
