SEN Teaching Assistant – Slough
We are seeking a patient, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Slough, starting ASAP. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils with special educational needs reach their full potential.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a well-established SEN provision. You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 or small-group basis
Assist pupils with academic tasks, communication, and social skills
Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual support plans
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
Support pupils during lessons, playtimes, and transitions
Monitor and record pupil progress and share updates with teachers
Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff
Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
