Year 6 Teacher – Manchester
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Manchester, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about upper Key Stage 2 education and preparing pupils for SATs while fostering confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons across the curriculum, ensuring pupils are well-prepared for SATs and secondary school. You will provide pastoral support, promote positive behaviour, and create a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum
Prepare pupils for SATs using effective and engaging teaching strategies
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress accurately
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN
Promote positive behaviour, high expectations, and independence
Create a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school initiatives
Follow safeguarding, health, and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Be confident in SATs preparation and assessment
Have excellent classroom management, organisational, and planning skills
Be enthusiastic, reflective, and child-centred in approach
Be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
