Performing Arts Technician – Independent School in Hampshire - April Start!
Our client is seeking a proactive and technically confident Performing Arts Technician to join a well-established independent school in Hampshire from April. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a vibrant Performing Arts department in a school that places strong value on creativity, performance, and co-curricular enrichment.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and contributing to high-quality productions, lessons, and events.
The Role
Providing technical support for Drama, Music, and Performing Arts lessons
Setting up and operating sound, lighting, and basic AV equipment
Supporting rehearsals, performances, concerts, and school productions
Ensuring performance spaces are safe, organised, and well maintained
Managing props, staging, and technical resources
Assisting staff and pupils with the safe use of equipment
Supporting events and performances, including occasional out-of-hours work
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience in a Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or technical theatre role
Practical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A flexible and proactive approach to work
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
The legal right to work in the UK
