Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to join a well-established independent school in Salisbury. This is a key role within the school, offering the opportunity to lead and further develop SEND provision in a calm, supportive environment with small class sizes and strong pastoral care.

The Role

• Leading SEND provision across the school

• Overseeing EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements

• Coordinating interventions and support strategies for pupils with additional needs

• Working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies

• Advising and supporting staff on inclusive classroom practice

• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school improvement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete if not already held)

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting

• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A calm, professional, and pupil-centred approach
