Nursery Teacher – Greenwich
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive early years setting within a primary school in Greenwich, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing young children with a positive and engaging start to their education.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years provision aligned with the EYFS framework. You will create a balance of structured learning and play-based experiences that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development. Building strong relationships with children and families will be central to your role.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging nursery sessions in line with the EYFS framework
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Support children’s development across all areas of learning
Use observation and assessment to track progress and inform planning
Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL
Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years staff
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate learning journals, records, and assessments
Contribute to EYFS planning, moderation, and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an EYFS teaching qualification
Have experience teaching in Nursery or Early Years
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be creative, reflective, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
