A high-performing and well-organised 11–18 secondary school in Solihull is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join its successful Humanities faculty. The Role
You will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for candidates with suitable experience. The curriculum is carefully sequenced to develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography alongside essential geographical skills.
At Key Stage 3, lessons focus on building strong foundations in map skills, data interpretation and geographical enquiry, with topics that link local, national and global issues. Students are encouraged to think critically about the world around them and to develop confidence in geographical language.
At GCSE, the department places strong emphasis on case study application, evaluative writing and exam technique. Teaching is supported by shared resources and clear assessment strategies, enabling students to make strong progress across all abilities.
