Religious Education Teacher | Haringey (Independent Mixed)

We are working with a forward-thinking independent mixed school in Haringey recruiting for a knowledgeable RE/Philosophy Teacher. This school views philosophical enquiry as central to their academic mission.

The School & Staff Culture This school prides itself on innovation. You will join a Humanities team that operates a "No-Marking" policy, using live feedback and whole-class assessment to protect staff wellbeing. The school offers "Wellbeing Days" where the school closes early for staff and provides a generous budget for academic subscriptions and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Philosophical Instruction: Teaching RE from KS3 through to A-Level, including modules on the Ethics of AI and Global Justice.

  • Debating Coach: Leading the school’s Ethics Cup and Model United Nations (MUN) teams.

  • Curriculum Design: Developing diverse schemes of work that reflect the complex multi-faith landscape of modern London.

  • Community Outreach: Coordinating the school’s "Faith in Action" volunteering programme with local charities.

Salary & Contract Details

  • Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent)

  • Contract: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
