Our client is seeking a motivated and reflective English Teacher (ECT) to join a well-established secondary school in York, recognised for its academic focus, strong literacy outcomes, and supportive leadership.

• Full-time English Teacher (ECT) from January 2026

This is an ideal opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to join a collaborative English Department that prioritises high-quality teaching, shared planning, and strong curriculum design. Students are engaged, respectful, and responsive to high expectations.

The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4, with clear progression opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications

• ECT or trainee English Teacher
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature
• Ability to teach across KS3–KS4
• QTS (or pending)
• Commitment to professional learning and collaboration
• Eligibility to work in the UK
