We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Design & Technology to join a thriving department in a high-achieving school in Birmingham, starting in April 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About the DT Department

About the Role
As a DT Teacher (ECT), your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching DT across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Delivering engaging, practical and theory-based lessons
• Planning differentiated lessons to support all learners
• Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback
• Working collaboratively across the department
• Participating in ECT training sessions and mentor meetings
• Engaging in school-wide CPD opportunities
Experience and Qualifications
• DT, Product Design, Engineering or related Degree
• PGCE with QTS (or completing PGCE)
• Commitment to outstanding teaching and learning
Salary
Paid to scale (MPS1 for ECTs).
