Year 4 Teacher – Manchester
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Manchester, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will support pupils’ learning in literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects while fostering independence, resilience, and positive behaviour. Collaboration with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents is central to ensuring that every child receives consistent support and achieves their full potential.
You will monitor pupil progress, provide targeted interventions where necessary, and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, engagement, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour
Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school initiatives
Support enrichment activities, school events, and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
