EYFS Teacher – Peterborough
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Peterborough, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who loves working with young children and is committed to delivering high-quality early years education that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will create engaging learning experiences that develop children’s literacy, numeracy, communication, social, and emotional skills. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure children receive consistent support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Promote early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language skills
Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL
Observe, assess, and accurately record children’s progress
Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
Have experience teaching in Nursery or Reception settings
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Demonstrate excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management
Understand the EYFS framework and child development principles
Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
