Nursery Teacher – Slough
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist who is passionate about providing high-quality education and care during the earliest stages of children’s development.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each child. You will create engaging learning opportunities that support early literacy, numeracy, communication, social, and emotional skills. You will work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive in their first formal learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Nursery and EYFS lessons
Promote early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language skills
Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL
Observe, assess, and accurately record children’s progress
Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
Have experience teaching in Nursery or Early Years settings
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management
Have a secure understanding of the EYFS framework
Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing
