We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough, starting as soon as possible. As a Nursery Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each child. You will create engaging learning opportunities that support early literacy, numeracy, communication, social, and emotional skills. You will work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive in their first formal learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Nursery and EYFS lessons

• Promote early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language skills

• Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development

• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL

• Observe, assess, and accurately record children’s progress

• Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues

• Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback

• Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives

• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification

• Have experience teaching in Nursery or Early Years settings

• Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic

• Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management

• Have a secure understanding of the EYFS framework

• Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive

• Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing
