Are you a passionate and dedicated DT Teacher seeking to begin your teaching career in an outstanding school? We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Design & Technology to join a thriving department in a high-achieving school in Birmingham, starting in April 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About the DT Department

About the Role
As a DT Teacher (ECT), your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching DT across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Contributing to the DT curriculum
• Creating and maintaining an inspiring learning environment
• Taking part in ECT development sessions and mentoring meetings
• Participating in CPD opportunities
Experience and Qualifications
• DT, Product Design, Engineering or related degree
• PGCE with QTS (or currently completing)
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for DT
Salary
Paid to scale (MPS1 for ECTs).
