Are you an ambitious and innovative DT Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity at a leading independent school? A highly regarded private school in Derby is seeking a talented Design & Technology Teacher to begin in February 2026.

School information:
This is a distinguished independent school known for academic excellence, outstanding facilities and a supportive working culture. Staff development, creativity and instructional innovation are highly valued.

About the DT Department:
The department is a well-established and collaborative team equipped with modern workshops, digital manufacturing equipment, and a design studio. Teachers contribute to curriculum development and cross-disciplinary learning.

Responsibilities:
• Teach DT to KS3/4, with potential KS5
• Deliver engaging and effective practical and theory lessons
• Plan, assess and monitor student progress
• Contribute to curricular development and innovative project work
• Support enrichment activities within the creative arts

Qualifications and Experience:
• DT, Product Design, Engineering or related degree
• PGCE or QTS
• Experience teaching DT (ECTs also welcome)

Salary and Benefits:
• Competitive Independent School salary (MPS/UPS equivalent)
