HR Administrator – Enfield | Secondary School
We are working with a vibrant, high-achieving mixed secondary school in Enfield recruiting for an experienced HR Administrator. This is a permanent, part-time position (2 days per week) offering an ASAP start for a professional with a background in education-based human resources.

The Role This is a permanent contract, working 2 days per week (0.4 FTE). You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the school’s human resources functions, ensuring compliance with both employment law and safeguarding regulations.
Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent)
Key responsibilities include:
Recruitment: Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to coordinating interviews and managing candidate correspondence.
Note Taking: Attending and providing accurate minutes for formal HR meetings, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance reviews.
Compliance: Ensuring all safer recruitment practices are strictly followed, including the maintenance of the Single Central Record (SCR).
Advice: Providing first-line guidance to staff and leadership on employment law, school policies, and contractual queries.
Administration: Maintaining accurate employee files and processing contractual changes or leave requests.
What the School Is Looking For
Essential: Proven experience of working within a school setting.
HR Expertise: A strong understanding of UK employment law and specific knowledge of education sector guidance (e.g., KCSIE).
Communication: Exceptional written skills for minute-taking and a professional, confidential manner.
System Knowledge: Proficiency with school management systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor) and HR software.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: £37,868 – £56,154 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent scale / Pro-rata)
Pro-rata salary based on a 2-day working week.
