Year 2 Teacher – Norwich
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Norwich, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Key Stage 1 and wants to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge pupils across the curriculum.

The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across all curriculum areas. You will support pupils to develop literacy, numeracy, and wider skills while fostering independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
You will collaborate with teaching assistants, Key Stage 1 colleagues, and senior leaders to ensure a consistent, engaging, and inclusive learning experience. Effective communication with parents and carers is also key to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Track pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Be confident delivering literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be proactive, reflective, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
