SEN Teaching Assistant – Bedford
We are seeking a patient, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bedford, starting as soon as possible. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the life of a pupil requiring additional support, helping them access the curriculum and thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil or small group of pupils with additional needs. You will support learning in the classroom, assist with tasks, and help build the pupil’s confidence, independence, and social skills. You will liaise with class teachers, SENCo, and other staff to implement personalised strategies and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with SEN
Assist with classroom learning activities and tasks
Support the implementation of IEP targets and strategies
Encourage independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
Observe and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
Support social, emotional, and communication development
Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Have experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or similar setting
