Year 6 Teacher – Enfield
We are seeking a confident, motivated, and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Enfield, starting as soon as possible. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach pupils in their final year of primary education, guiding them through an important academic and personal milestone.

The Role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum, with a particular focus on preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and the transition to secondary school. You will support pupils academically, emotionally, and socially, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence.
You will work closely with teaching assistants, Year 6 colleagues, and senior leaders to ensure consistency and high standards across the phase. Strong communication with parents and carers will also be an important aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and secondary school transition
Track, assess, and monitor pupil progress
Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including SEND and EAL
Maintain a positive, calm, and focused classroom environment
Promote resilience, independence, and positive learning behaviours
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and school improvement initiatives
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Be confident with assessment frameworks and exam preparation
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisation
Be calm, resilient, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
Work effectively as part of a supportive team
