Key Responsibilities

As an SEN TA, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personalised support to pupils with SEN to enable access to lessons and activities

• Supporting pupils to achieve academic, social, and emotional goals

• Collaborating with class teachers to adapt teaching resources and strategies

• Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs, behaviour plans, and individual support plans

• Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour, and social skills

• Encouraging positive peer interactions and communication skills

• Assisting with transitions between lessons and supervising playgrounds and lunchtimes

• Observing, recording, and reporting pupil progress and behaviour

• Providing feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
