Key Responsibilities
As an SEN TA, your responsibilities will include:
Providing personalised support to pupils with SEN to enable access to lessons and activities
Supporting pupils to achieve academic, social, and emotional goals
Collaborating with class teachers to adapt teaching resources and strategies
Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs, behaviour plans, and individual support plans
Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour, and social skills
Encouraging positive peer interactions and communication skills
Assisting with transitions between lessons and supervising playgrounds and lunchtimes
Observing, recording, and reporting pupil progress and behaviour
Providing feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
Supporting personal care needs with dignity and respect
Promoting independence while providing structured guidance
Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
