Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:
Providing personalised support to pupils with SEN to help them access learning
Assisting pupils to engage with lessons and classroom activities
Collaborating with class teachers to adapt resources and teaching strategies
Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans
Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation and behaviour management
Encouraging positive communication and social interaction
Assisting with transitions between lessons and school activities
Supervising pupils at break times and lunchtimes
Observing and recording pupil progress and behaviour
Providing feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Supporting personal care needs when appropriate
