Pay Rate: £95–£125 per day, depending on experience

Pupil Needs and SEN Support
In this role, you will support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Speech, language, and communication difficulties
Sensory processing challenges
Learning delays and developmental differences
Support may be provided on a one-to-one basis or within small group settings, depending on pupil needs. Some pupils may require structured routines and consistent adult support throughout the school day, while others may benefit from targeted intervention at specific times.
Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN throughout the school day
Supporting pupils to engage with lessons and learning activities
Working alongside the class teacher to adapt resources and teaching approaches
Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
Encouraging positive communication and social interaction
Supporting pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtime where required
Monitoring and recording progress, behaviour, and engagement
Providing feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
Supporting personal care needs when necessary, with dignity and respect
Helping to create a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
You will be expected to maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships with pupils.
