Your Role as an SEN TA
Responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN

Adapting teaching materials to meet individual pupil needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils self-regulate
Supporting social, emotional, and communication development
Observing, recording, and reporting pupil progress to teachers and SENCOs
Assisting pupils with transitions between lessons or activities
Supporting therapy or intervention sessions
Helping pupils with personal care where needed
You will act as a calm, consistent, and encouraging presence, helping pupils navigate academic and social challenges while fostering independence and confidence.
