Your Role as an SEN TA
Responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other learning difficulties
Adapting learning materials to meet individual pupil needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils self-regulate
Supporting pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills
Observing, recording, and reporting pupil progress to teachers and SENCOs
Assisting pupils during transitions between lessons or activities
Supporting therapy or intervention sessions
Helping pupils with personal care when necessary
You will act as a calm, consistent, and encouraging presence, helping pupils navigate both academic and social challenges while fostering independence and confidence.
